Lament Psalm
October 22, 2005
Clancy had to write a Psalm by using a "Lament formula" for school last week. Since I posted some of Haven's writing last week I thought this week would be a perfect opportunity to give Clancy some equal airplay.
Since we went to the Texas State Fair on Thursday I thought the pictures of our family day would be appropriate to post this week alongside her beautiful Psalm.
Lament Psalm
By Clancy Cauble
O God, open Your ears to my voice; soften Your heart with my cry.
Our world is too busy and families are growing apart,
as centrifugal force tears objects at the seams.
Mothers and fathers listen, if you put your family first than you will be blessed,
But if you value your work too highly then your family will disintegrate.
God whisper to the children and help them realize that
The family lasts longer than friends.
God speak to their hearts and open their eyes!
Help them realize what harm they’re doing.
I trust in You God,
For You can do all things,
For You created family,
For You have an individual plan for each one.
Lord, I promise I will witness to the ends of the earth.
I will tell millions of your power and love.
Lord, if you answer this prayer then you won’t just be blessing me,
You will be blessing millions of families around the world,
Who’ve had so much work they don’t know what to do.
But now, with Your power they can start re-sewing those families from the seams out.
